The Forge, part of the estate’s original stable blocks and outbuildings, is now being dismantled ahead of its planned restoration. Given the building’s heritage value, the process has been carried out entirely by hand. Each brick is individually removed, cleaned of mortar, and stacked on pallets for reuse in the rebuild.
This measured approach ensures that the original materials are preserved and reintroduced during construction. It’s a clear example of how the estate’s legacy is being carefully maintained – not by replacing the old, but by restoring it with care and attention.
